These are my guesses based on 15-years working in product. I have worked for 5 companies during that timeframe. I worked for a small 100 employee company. And I worked for a company with 150,000 employees. I have mainly worked on commercially sold software.
It really depends. Is the pay based on WFH or in-person in California ?
The average for a Senior Product Manager is $133,000. The low side is probably around $100k and the high around $300k.
$150k does not sound reasonable for the scenario that you are describing. I am assuming that you don’t have any product experience.
An an engineering manager just pivoting to product manager…. you may not find anyone willing to hire you without any product experience for $150k.
You might be successful pivoting to a technical product manager where your knowledge is a critical part of the job.
$150K TC yes, just base salary questionable - if you can swing the relevance of engineering management I can see that happening at Senior PM level
