When I was a manager I did plenty of $hit that was the level below me when people didn’t pull their weight or we didn’t have staffing. The higher up you get, the more you realize that you have to work both down and up the chain to do whatever it takes to get the job done
Easy easy to shine, my friend. Don't screw it up. 50% of my time is dedicated to senior level work.
I personally don’t mind doing any type of work but does that irk you as a senior manager? Are you at a bigger firm?
Lol. Sometimes I have to do tick marks
Chief
Just wait until you are a manager and doing everything from staff to partner tasks, just shy of signing off
Yes
Yes, just because you are a senior does not mean you know what you are doing at a new job. We have big 4 "seniors" who want to work at a smaller firm but they don't know how to do most of the job because they were so specialized. How else will you learn unless you are preping. I would remove "down a level" from yoru vocabulary and just be willing to whatever the client and your team needs.
Yeah, probably so you can learn the ropes
100% sometimes the level below you is still learning how to turn their laptop on… and the job still needs to be done
