Is it possible to re-tool into a niche practice area and start at a firm again as a junior once you’ve become a senior? If so, tips? I’m an 8th year, general lit, former biglaw now at a midsize firm. Would love to go into antitrust litigation, IP litigation, or anything regulatory (cyber, etc.) - areas I’ve done a few matters in before and really loved, versus being a generalist. It seems like our industry allows for this when you’re still junior, but not so much when you become senior.

I worked 2m for startup company and absconded due to bitter experience from Jun'21 - July'21 , later immediately joined to another company Aug'21 to present(under notice period). Now I got offer with comcast and will moving on Jan'23. I'm bit worried because I don't have releiving letter for those 2m but all other records are clear with me(includes to company I'm currently serving notice period). I yet to reveal this 2m to my Hr. Should I tell and leave as such, Kindly pour your advice.

My thoughts are that it will help get our webinars and personality on our homepage without overly cluttering it up, but does it also navigate people away from our page? Is it feasible to go straight for MBA right after undergrad? Or is it better practice to get some work experience first?

What productivity hacks do you employ? I like to shut off my email for 25 min intervals to focus on real work. It’s like a sprint of focus without being “unavailable” too long.

I am concerned with fulfilling billable hours requirement. I’m required to hit 2100 hours yearly and I’m at ~1,500 hours and I think I’ll hit 150-180hours this month. What will happen if I don’t hit my targeted amount by the end of my year.

Second year associate here who recently switched from litigation to corporate law. I am absolutely swamped while simultaneously having no idea what I’m doing ever and I’m feeling so burnt out. The partners are pretty great and feedback is constructive which I’m grateful for, but I’m so desperate for a compliment I’ve been saving any scrap of positivity in a folder 😭 it’s December 22 and I haven’t done my Christmas shopping because I don’t feel capable of thinking about it. Ideally the software would involve document organization/access as well as like a running “log” for folks to post relevant events or work completed for the file.
