Is my brain toast from being burnout, or does “bringing AI into our work stream to increase productivity won’t result in anyone losing their jobs” just not make any sense despite no matter how many times agency leaders say it?

If the growth of the agency business does not, and is not planned to, equal the sum total of new productivity levels there just straight up won’t be enough work for everyone to do? Aka layoffs?

I’m working a Principal TPM for a FinTech firm offering digital payments platform. I have 10+ YOE and recently got MBA. One of my focus areas in MBA was business analytics where i learnt ML and NLP using R. Now, I’ll go for PMP next and thinking to pick up Google Cloud and go down Architect route. I have used AWS in the past but don’t want to pursue it further as it has grown a lot and will take me years to learn. Also, Competition! What do you folks think? What would you recommend otherwise?

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't?
