Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Brilliant idea. Get some extra points so that you can either engage in tax fraud or add 6-12% to your mortgage payments in occupancy taxes
Yes, I’ve been using for a year with zero negatives and only positives. Only pain is 5 transaction per month minimum. I moved my recurring donations to this card and now it just sits in my desk drawer. Other than that, I’m printing points.

Im on the board of a nonprofit that helps children and families in underserved communities - $20 a month recurring donation would be great
Why not? Rent is an expense you typically can’t get points from unless you want to pay a CC processing fee and there are easy ways to hit the 5 transaction/month threshold (eg 5 Amazon $1 gift cards)
Curious as well for this card… just don’t want to get it and then something happen to the points and transfer partners a year from now // depending on when I get a house

I’ve been using it for about a year and it’s pretty good. I have had some issues with a few returns not getting refunded to my card, and the customer service experience was not great, so I usually only use it to hit the five purchase minimum.
i would put rent towards subs and really pull in crazy points.. yes a fee. but reward is unmatched
Anyone use this to pay rent through Venmo? My landlord is a non-native English speaker that I pay rent to through Venmo, so I’m anticipating maybe having some issues communicating to them how this will work, so just trying to see how it does work. Will there be a Venmo payment to them with your name in it and “Rent”?

I haven’t been able to find anything on that use case. I’d err on not possible. Cleaner solution would be have bilt cut the check and mail it to landlord (if they’re open to check over Venmo)

Does it work when paying rent through Zelle?
Unlikely to qualify as a rent payment since that tends to code as a person-to-person payment, not rent.
