Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

Which Bonvoy card? Assuming it’s the Boundless, 100k points is valued at about 900 bucks (though you can get a better redemption value) plus you get a free cat 1-4 night each year and 15 elite night credits. Not sure if any of that is worth it to you, but those are the main benefits.
OP yeah that free hotel stay essentially gets you your annual fee back (and some). I am a titanium as well and got the card, I think it’s been well worth it. Have used the 100K towards multiple free stays, and the extra 15 elite night credits helped me stay at titanium status for an extra year (before covid hit). If you don’t have anyone to refer you, feel free to message me - would be happy to give you a referral.
The free night ends up paying for the card
It is - you get one free night per year just for having the card so the $95 fee covers itself.
You also retain silver status, get extra points for booking, and have the faster wifi.
These are two credit cards i have.
Any feedback in addition to the likes?
If you’re traveling on someone else’s dime yet for work, I’d go for the Brilliant. $450 per year but you get 300 back in hotel credits (perf if work pays for your stay), another 100 bucks back in restaurant purchases by EOY. And a 50k night certificate each year plus 75k signon bonus.
Oh and you get priority pass too but that doesn’t matter bc you have CSR already.
