For folks who get a company phone, do you keep two separate phones - one for perosnal and one for professional use? At my current company, I just file an expense for my monthly cell phone bill, so I keep my own phone and use it for both work and personal use. About to start at MBB soon and wondering if people just use the company phone for both use? Is it ok/accepted if your checked personal emails, social media, other apps etc.. on the company phone?
Folks that have moved from Management Consulting at a Big 4 to PE Performance Improvement at Alix, AM, etc. what do you find the biggest differences to be? What makes your new role more desirable?
If you started working at a company for like a year as a staff level, for example 2019-present, and this is reflected on LinkedIn, do you guys update any promotions to show it as (the date or year of promotion) -present... or just show it as 2019-present? I’ve seen people do the latter more but is that even right?
Anyone else freaking out about Delta? My baby is 6 months and starts daycare on Monday. I feel like I’m sending my kid into harms way (I can’t afford a nanny).
Vaguely interested in the concept of a facial, but I’m sure I’d never make it a regular thing. Is it worth doing if it’s something you’d likely only do like once or twice a year? E.g., are there still benefits if that infrequent?
Are you folks happy with your decision to make a career in sales? I’m young working in tech sales, but also have my bachelors in psychology, and could see my self happily going for my masters maybe even PHD and being a counselor.
On the subway and there’s a dude who just stepped into the gap between the two cars to smoke a joint. New York is back baby!

1 week to prepare for a case interview at a boutique firm, never cased before. Is it possible?
Starting full-time @ MBB this month. I’m really interested in recruiting growth equity (GE) at some point. I’m pretty familiar with PE recruiting but not sure how growth differs. Anyone have perspective on any of the following: 1- Does GE recruit on cycles? If so what is the typical timing? 2- Are modeling tests standard as part of the interview process? 3- How are consultants perceived in the industry? 4- Do large GE firms utilize headhunters? 5- Do large GE firms have operating roles?
Does anyone at the Junior or mid-level here not aspire to be a creative director? I was in a conversation with some coworkers today about the advertising career ladder. Whether from lack of desire or ability to manage others, not everybody will rise to CD level. Does anyone here want to stay a writer or art director your whole career instead of moving into a management position? And is that even possible without aging out or getting priced out?
Hi, Consulting Moms! I need advice - I am leaving industry to return to consulting. I have offers from KPMG and Deloitte, and we are looking to start a family ASAP (we have been actively trying and I have a feeling it would be just my luck to start a new job and find out I’m pregnant). Would love your insight around personal experience with hours per week, work-life balance, culture, etc. Offers are same level/role/scope (Change Management / Transformation / Human Capital) and same salary. TY!
I’m wondering from those who have moved from account to strategy how you’ve liked it and what were your motivations, pros and cons of the jump and what you think about the trajectory of your career and salary now. The head of strategy at my agency recently said I could be on her team and I’m extremely intrigued but surprised as I just always thought I’d be on the account side since I do so well there.
I was wondering whether any US green card holders accepted into M7 programs ever get some amount of tuition reimbursement/funding/scholarships from these schools or are they treated like international students that are expected to pay full tuition. Also, how common does is it?

If you bought ADO additional time off and quit before you use it do you get it paid back?
According to HR , accepting offer letter and not joining is not acceptable and it considered as unprofessional. But. According to HR: not giving hike/Variable pay/ bonus Even after completing yearly cycle for Variable pay / bonus / hike while serving notice period is acceptable and it is according to company standards. *Rule States that in to eligible for it employees has to be on company pay role. Question is If one resign then on who's pay role that employee is serving notice per?
