Not sure why I’m even bothering to respond to this nonsense straw man argument from EY2.
The point isn’t whether or not there are capable people on the bench - there very well may be. The point is how useful spreading false info from this moron is.
You can choose to spend your time worrying about getting laid off - or channel it into securing a role. I’m afraid you’re gonna have to choose one - and that doesn’t make me ignorant or arrogant. It makes you worried and insecure, which by the way is also OK.
PS - confidence in self is not the same thing as arrogance. Figure this distinction out and you’ll feel less concerned about factors you or I have no control over.

The way things are, I totally believe it if not sooner than that. Bunch of SMs are on a bench with no foreseeable work coming. Multiple clients put their projects on hold and there is not even enough pursuit work to go around for everyone right now. I feel like SMs specifically are in a tough spot because there are enough managers available, which are cheaper and can in many situations manage what SMs were always used for
