Is there any cases out there where it is worthwhile to stay with a firm compensation wise? It seems like all that I have seen is that moving firms causes compensation rates to actually grow by anything greater than 5-10%. Am I just seeing those results through the algorithms or is that actually the case?

Hi, I am an expat living in France and working as an IT consultant. I got an experience here that recruiters insist on disclosing my current salary. Is it a norm in France? Do you reply how much you earn? To me it seems absolutely inappropriate and irrelevant. I can respond what are my future salary expectations. I refuse to tell how much I make now, and then recruiters say that they can't proceed with my application without this information. WDYT?

I’m up for a promotion at work and I have no idea how much to ask for since it’s not a standard position. Currently I’m a team lead and manage about 8 technicians, my promotion will be to a regional service delivery manager, and I will be managing over 30 in 3 locations. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). DC - AFS, Senior Analyst making 88K salary with a 2K sign on bonus I had to negotiate is this a good deal?

Any thoughts on what a typical manager salary should be? Associates all start at 75 at BSR but managers fluctuate. Is 120k on par with other firms? 2 years experience in consulting, 5 industry, MA, and a subject matter expert. Is expecting a 45k jump with a promotion crazy?

Product Manager offer is 120k salary, sign on bonus of 15k. 4 YOE total. Undergrad degree in computer science. Am I underpaid? This is a legit question lol. I’ve only done federal contracting/consulting work.
