Optum - 16 Fixed + 15% variable + pf (offer letter is not received yet)

LTIMindtree: 11 LPA Fixed only(can revise the offer based on the latest offer)

I am asking this as I see SDE making much more salary than data scientist. Also experience and skill set required to become SDE is much less than Data scientist. For becoming SDE you need DSA and System design but Data scientist position require hell lot of skills. Also it is easier to find a job as SDE .

1 yoe as a business intelligence developer and just under 1 yoe as a Junior data engineer for a startup. My current company is in talks with me to hire me as a data engineer right after I graduate with my bachelors degree. From what I’ve seen online (averaging 5 different sites, I am including Glassdoor but only the number they have listed as the base) I’m currently expecting about 85k base. Does this seem too high? Currently a mgr(1st year) at a risk advisory practice in ny ( ~150 base, 6 yrs exp) Got an offer from a foreign bank- VP level, 165 base + 20k sign on. I was thinking of asking for 170k + 30k sign on

Has anyone with PwC been successful in counter offering. 6 YOE and I just received a 30% bump to go to another firm. Willing to counter but I’m wondering if I’m wasting My time.

Am I getting paid below market? 8 yoe + MBA, $200k base in big tech, $20k sign on, ~$50k in annual stock + addl annual refreshers. No bonus. Know this is a lot of money in general but feeling like this is not capturing market value.

Is there a minimum bump people tend to shoot for before making the jump (e.g. 25%)?
