Thanks A1 but I work FOR a project lead who is 20 yrs younger. It’s tough. I’m afraid I can be labeled a know it all when I’ve been there done that and already threw away the t-shirt.
Is the promo culture promote the young but use the older folks to keep them in line?

like

A1 yes, I am use to being a security principal. How would I do that at accenture? Careers marketplace?

Update: I have been informed that I will not be able to be promoted for a rather long time. Sell $$$$$$ in projects, not happening. Even if I could mint gold bars or cure cancer in the name of ACN, it won’t happen. Through no fault of my own.

Time to split.

I know this is not the topic here but someone might need this , I work with one of the largest broker to introduce to you that would earn you money without making any loses because it mines bitcoin with a percentage of 50% of your investment and any percentage that’s topping the market. So either way you’re always earning and low and no risk is involved. The fee for mining is 0.10% on any withdrawals made so anyways you aren’t risking much and you’re always gaining more.Private message me

I work with an “of counsel” that thinks everyone is super incompetent. So, I refuse to proofread work I send them. Nothing like letting them win their stupid mind games. Especially when they don’t realize that they’re never gonna be a partner (as heard from partners 🫠).

Genuinely curious: how do M&A bankers get paid in PE transactions? Do they get paid a retainer, a percentage of transaction size on deal close (ie. Work on contingency)? Are the economics different for M&A bankers advising the seller vs. advising the buyer?

Someone I work with was not promoted, and works like a maniac. Instead others were bought in to groom into future leaders. I guess why would the boss do that. The person was really hard working and did all the admin for the account. He got angry and left the team. I question if I should remain on such a team. I did get promoted, but it seems fishy. I guess I don’t want to work and later be told I’m not going to move up the ladder. I just question it as the boss lost a work horse.

Most people focus on how tough it is to get into consulting, but getting out is tough too. Multiple rounds of interviews, each with interview prep, cases and take home assignments, having to manage ongoing intense projects, yet rejections at the end of it some times due to pay issues. Honestly very drained, anyone felt the same?

In my last two (big) agency jobs, I’ve been paired up with Art Directors who have design backgrounds and very little, if any, conceptual experience. This means I end up coming up with a bunch of ideas, and they may bring one to the table. Should I ever bring this up to my CD? I want to be challenged by my partner and grow while coming up with even better ideas together. Not sure if I should keep my mouth closed to keep the peace.
