Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Outside of the consulting realm YES it changes the game. It’s your bread and butter in the DMV as this is our industry here.
I had a a friend with the following:
IT degree
Worked at NASA cyber security division while in college and got a TS.
After college he worked at Deloitte making around 70-75k
Got his CISSP
Left Deloitte as a Consultant after just under 2 years and got a 73% increase in salary
Then left that job and moved to Atlanta which is a LCOL than DMV and still got another 15% raise
The TS has definitely been worth it and everyone that I know that has one wants to keep it. If you plan to stay in federal work then keep it.
I was at a federal contractor and dipped as soon as I got my TS. It definitely gave me more leverage when it came to negotiation.
Where did you go after? Another firm?

My comp increased annually moving from IC to consulting, but my hourly rate plummeted.
It depends what you want to do and where...with a TS/SCI full-scope poly and 15 YOE, I can’t find an opp that will pay me more than $180k. And I don’t find any cleared work to be desirable or interesting, so my clearance is not worth much to me.

IC work is draining. Are you STEM? For STEM it pays.
Fully cleared with poly here. I’ve seen... no difference.
