I would say yes. Don’t expect a response but I would send them to be safe.
I sent thank you emails after a recent lateral interview and received responses from 6 of the 8 people I emailed, so I would say yes. Some people don’t care about these things, but others do, so it certainly wouldn’t hurt
I always encourage candidates to do so, at least to the decision-makers they spoke with and anyone who they really hit it off with who might vouch for them. It's likely not a deal breaker, but it can definitely sway a decision in favor of the candidate who takes the 5 minutes necessary to send a 2-3 sentence email.

If it's a firm you're really interested in, I would highly encourage it. You may or may not receive a response, but I think it's a respectful and courteous thing to do. Also helps set the right tone with people you might soon be calling colleagues and looking to get you involved in their matters.
