Is this common across the industry? I’ve spent about five years in pharma across four different companies. My background is entirely on the operations side, working directly in the plant, within quality departments. One thing that’s consistent is how little effort is put into training new staff. I’m comfortable figuring things out on my own, but I’ve seen many colleagues struggle or fail because teammates aren’t willing to provide one-on-one training. Have I been working at the wrong places??

The current department I’m in, I do not fit the culture as it is a very archaic way of “managing” people. I have about a decade of a variety of work experience, majority in customer service/coordination/administration.

I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.) I’ve applied to PM roles at many biotech companies (e.g. Charles River, ICON, Paraxel) but only got 1 interview which didn’t work out. Which companies should I look to for an entry level PM role? Any good startups to consider? Anyone have any insight or advice?

Can anyone tell me the difference between a senior and lead validation engineer( no direct reports in both cases) in Pharma/ biotech ? I am not sure what’s the hierarchy and which level must get a higher salary. Or is it just referenced interchangeably in different companies ?
