It will be 2 years as an accountant in private sector. I am also pursuing my CPA on the side, passed FAR and taking REG in couple of weeks.
Is anyone hiring near Durham, North Carolina?

I am guessing you want to stay in industry? If not, public accounting audit is always hiring in the area.

I want to get into public. But not being a recent graduate and not having enough experience really narrows the path to get into public

Any ENFP lawyers out there who are happy? What do you practice? Just saw that a job not for this personality was “corporate attorney”... so just curious.

I know some of my colleagues are recording their standard fees as time so that it counts towards their billable hours. It infuriates me but am I just being naive by not doing the same?

I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.

I firmly believe leadership makes the difference.

Not only, it highlins each one's value, but especially spreads this value among others.
I'm speaking about life, in a broad sense, which also include work life, but it is not limited to that.

Looking for any kind of suggestion to improve my leadership: books, experiences, attitudes, daily-routine, ...

Thank you!

We had evaluations and normally we have annual raises. I think my salary is under market value at $68k (plus OT) in Los Angeles (5 years of experience). I was told I am one of the top employees in the firm. When I asked about a raise, I was told “when you think about it at your level 5k to 10k doesn’t really matter it’s the long term goal that matters”.
