Working from home because I’m sick, but feeling too sick to work. How do you charge time when you are clearly being less efficient/effective?

My advice: Stop working and rest

like

I charge it to sick time. If I accomplish something, I charge it to the code baes in what it should have taken not what it did take due the fuzzy head.

like

Sick time is there for a reason. If you are too sick to work, then don’t!

like

Use sick time? I think that’s the purpose of the code.

like

We have unlimited sick time

This post honestly gets to the core of the issue with public accounting and time as the holy unit of measure. The winner of the rat race is the employee who can keep the client happy with work of a high enough quality while taking the longest to legitimately complete it. Cool system!

like

This has happened to me. I charge a 1/2 day sick

like

Excepr, don’t break the budget. But also don’t eat time. The fine line...

like

Use sick time. And switch off your laptop and go to sleep.

like

We have unlimited sick time but i need to get work done... so if I’m working but I’m being slow/foggy I guess I just wasn’t sure how to split time. Thanks to those who gave advice.

I charge what it takes me. If a manager asks me to do something while I am on vacation, and it takes me five hours instead of one- boom. Hitting the code for five hours

I always just charge half my time when that happens and my other half to sick time.

You don’t.

I’m not bad with money but definitely lots of room to improve overall, due to several personal factors I don’t want to list in full here (numerous unanticipated medical bills, bad boyfriends, etc.) Hence why I only have $3k in savings right now. My first mini goal is to have $5k saved by the end of December. I need motivation and words of encouragement. If I pay off my medical bills, I won’t make my goal. I have to start putting saving money first. Getting depressed about my situation.

Thinking of applying to be an ASA and to the FL AGO. Would like trial experience or civil rights/con law work.

Thoughts appreciated!

One of my queries is regarding the Medical Insurance. As per the offer letter it mentions "Mediclaim Scheme with Floater Option of Self + 3 or Self + 5 with/without parents. " : INR. 150,000/- to INR. 3,000,000/-
Does this mean that without paying extra, the med insurance is just 1.5L?
