did 2.5 months with little to no work due to a restructuring after a recent agency to brand side transition. had similar worries but reassured throughout by peers and boss i’d be good and off to races once the dust settled.
it did and the work hasn’t stopped since lol you’ll be fine cause it’d be an awfully bad look to unreasonably lay off a new hire that way
np! use the time to absorb as much as possible, learn about the business and familiarize yourself with historical work your team has delivered, get to know folks in 1:1s including cross functional partners where it makes sense (your producers ;), etc so that you’re getting up to speed in other areas until briefed in on ownable work.

Doesn't seem like they would go to the trouble of hiring you and then let you go without getting anything out of you.
Don't sit and wait. Set up some intro meetings with coworkers to learn about the organization. Find the sources of truth in the org. The product designers and marketers who make the thing you promote. The researchers and UX folks who know all about customers you're going to write for. Make yourself smarter about the brand and the org so you can do a better job when your boss finally asks you do so what you were hired for.

I wouldn’t worry. Elements of being in house is like steering a cargo ship. Change/updates/paperwork/etc can be slooowwwwwww. Enjoy the gentle ease into things while you can.
