It’s been such an exhausting day at work today. I don’t usually work on weekends, but my department was offering overtime to help with the workload, so I decided to take it. I honestly didn’t expect them to give me such a huge amount of work though, it felt like they were trying to get every bit of value out of the extra pay.
Anyway, I’m just relieved it’s finally done!

Do you usually have the same workload on overtime days, or do they give you extra work too?

Generally it is the same amount of work, just extra hours. They appreciate us taking extra shifts so they don't pile the work on. Honestly that is pretty crappy of them to do that.

It's the exact same for me. The only time things get noticeably busier is around the holiday season, but that's true for every store. Right now things are pretty slow, and I'm very happy about it.

It’s a bit annoying when they have a huge workload when you volunteer to work on your day off. I feel like it should be that much work but it happens. When I volunteer for extra work, they give me the work that is needed to be done.

I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate.
