It’s internship season! What’s your best advice for someone looking for an internship in the industry?

What’s the best way to get an internship as a freshman? I’ve been searching all over and most internships seem to be for sophomores and above.

How important are 2L and 3L grades? I got an internship at a top 30 law firm and am nervous I won’t keep my GPA up. I also know that the law firm requests Transcripts before the internship.

Hi all! Looking for a referral for a program management/ FP & A/ S&O role, but definitely open to others. I’m 1 yr out of college working as a sales/styling associate, but have been struggling with finding a job aligning with my career goals. I majored in econ & minored in cs. I also have internship experience in sales, HR, marketing, and styling which makes me a bit of a professional blender, but I’ve picked up many transferable skills along the way. I’m a designer in the planning/landscape architecture dept. of a CE firm. Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I know that my designs could be better if I could see how things are actually built but I get slapped in the face with “I need you in the office designing/drafting” or “there’s no budget to have you go out” and then sends an intern to inspect instead. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?

I am currently getting paid $61K as an HRIS Analyst in NY for a company with 4000+ employees. I was an intern for two years and became full time a year ago. I graduated very recently too so I feel like that’s why they lowballed me. I want to ask for a raise because I definitely think I deserve to be paid more for all the work that I do but also don’t want to risk losing this job. If they say no, I’ll have to look somewhere else. Any advice on what I should do?
