I think this is one of those self-reflection situations. Are you bored, wanting a pay increase, something else? That's some solid experience at your current place of employment. Do you think you could suggest how to grow the team and be given new responsibilities? I personally would be more inclined to be in a job that is fulfilling and focused on WLB over my salary.

WLB is huge
10 years is huge. It sounds like you’ve given your current role a full chapter, right there.. A lower base can feel risky, but if the roles offer growth and you believe you can hit those quotas, it might be worth betting on yourself. A friend of mine took a similar leap and, even though the first few months were tight, the long-term gain was worth it. What’s pulling you most toward leaving: growth, money, or just needing a new challenge?
Opportunity for growth is the biggest driver . I want to lead teams in the future, and that won't be possible in my current job.
If you've plateaued in your current role, I think it's worth taking the risk. Lower base is never attractive, but if the quotas are achievable, I'd go for it.
It sounds like you're at a real inflection point. If you've plateaued at your current company with no clear path upward, and the new roles offer higher earning potential and career growth even if that comes with more risk—it may be worth the leap. Just ensure you vet the quota attainability and support structure at those companies so you're not betting on a bonus that's rarely paid out.
Would it help to map out a pros/cons list or evaluate the risk tolerance you’re comfortable with?
Thank you!! Being young (in 30s), I feel growth opp is a more important factor for me than money at this point, even if the quotas are going to be harder to meet. I shall make the jump!

I struggle with making the jump myself. What will you be selling? Is it a winner?
If not now when? You’ve been i one position for 10 years you’ve gotten everything out of that job that you can possibly get. So you either spend the rest of your life in the same role for the same pay or are you gonna take a gamble and try something new. I vote you take a gamble and try something new. You have a good enough reputation at your current company that you could probably come back if you ever needed to.

OP, how’s it going?

I made the jump! Signed an offer with a new company with lower base but MUCH higher total comp expected, given their goals/SIP structure. The interview process got me really excited and ultimately decided to make the jump for the growth/learning potential
