I've been in this career for over 35 years - 14 of them at my current firm. I handle the most complex and highest earning cases in our office. Within the last couple of months, the attorneys have been "pulling" other staff in to do tasks on my cases, for no reason. Sometimes, the staff have no clue what the case is about, so are in asking me how to do the task. I'm starting to feel like I'm being pushed aside. Am I being pushed toward the door? Should I start looking for another job?

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Are there any fully remote lawfirms, ie you don't have to live in the state they have offices? I recently left a large lawfirm to go in-house which came with a huge paycut that is not going to be sustainable long term, but needed a remote position to be able to move. With that being said I told her that I would complete my certificate by the summer around the time she would make partner. I’m currently a bankruptcy paralegal. Not sure I want to stay in bankruptcy forever. I’ve heard it can be really hard to change practice types and break into a new area of law. Anyone have experience or tips/advice on doing so?

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work.
