If the offer you've gotten isn't the right fit, it's best to pass on it. Part of the problem is that hiring seems slow all over, so it's not that you're doing anything wrong. In time, that will change. If you're ready to leave your job but it's not untenable, you might as well remain patient and wait for an offer that makes you confident about the future.
Slow-moving across the board. Keep searching for the right fit, or you’ll just be back to square one, where you are again looking to get out of your firm. Unless it’s dire, I’d stay patient.
