Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?

I’m moving to Nashville Metro Area, TN and applying to solely Data Engineering Jobs (I have a total of 3 yrs exp & want to get back to it). Anyone have any good recs/websites/tips for estimating salary at this location? I’ve tried the popular websites like levels.fyi, glassdoor and indeed but I find that the ranges differ a lot.

I don't give two shits about the minimum or their max. I go do the research on what the position should be paid for the market, factor in my experience and time in the position. Figure out a range I'm willing to fall into, and tell them my top dollar. Use that as a starting point for negotiations, and don't step a dollar out of what my bottom range is. If after all of that I get ruled out, then the relationship between that company and myself isn't a good fit. If they can't take the time to research what the position is worth, then I'll find the company that does. From my experience the companies that are offering below market value, are also going to treat you below your expectations anyways. So why bother?
When you’re negotiating you should already have the offer on hand. You NEVER negotiate salary before they give you an offer. Do your market research and give a number high on the range.
What does "minimum salary" mean?
