Hard to know where the line is between “imposter syndrome” and a gut feeling you need to trust (ie maybe you just don’t want this job). I’ve been there - try to get in touch with goals, values, also think about “what’s the worst thing that can happen” as a way to focus.
This is so true. I love the CEO’s vision and product, the CEO’s involvement in minutiae and tendency to complain about team members is giving red flags. Part of me says that’s how CEOs are, and as a worst case, I learn how to deal with someone like this and move on. Another part of me says this is going to be Alice and Wonderland, where the CEO is the queen of hearts lol
I felt that way in the past but I always told myself they wouldn't hire me if they didn't believe I cold do the job. Its easy to get imposter syndrome but I am able to shut it down pretty effectively because I know what I am capable of in the work place.
