I've been unemployed now for 13 months, done everything from HR admin to full cycle payroll.

I can't even get a call back for a janitor job rn.

Call recruiters and get established with them. They typically share your resume with other recruiters if they don’t have anything available. The more agencies you have looking for you the better.
Have you had someone professionally review your resume? If not, do this. Make sure it’s AI compatible meaning it has the key words that will be picked up on during a resume search when the hiring manager is scanning resumes.
Remove anything negative from your social media accounts. Companies will check these, if they see you have posted negative, derogatory comments that could be a defamation of character you may not get an interview. Do you want a job or is your political stance more important? (This is just an example)
Make sure your new resume is on every job board LinkedIn, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Indeed etc..,Looking for a new career now becomes your full time job! I’ve been exactly where you are. It will turnaround for you, it just takes one person, one business, to recognize that you are the right fit for them. I wish you all the best!

I can relate to your frustration with finding employment, especially in this field. I’ve been unemployed for 7 months after my position was eliminated. Stay positive and keep applying for positions. I’ve found that a lot of job opening posts on here are posted on the weekends, might be worth checking out if you haven’t already.

I sincerely wish you success and good luck on your search! An opportunity is coming your way, hopefully sooner than later.

You should check into job's that are HR adjacent - working for SaaS tech companies as an account manager for HRIS systems, HR sales, Government HR jobs, sales (HR's evil twin as I call it jokingly), automotive service advisor. Something in the people and support sphere.

Or I've had success taking a customer service job - waiter, gas station attendant, cashier, coffee shop - somewhere in a high traffic area. These roles are great for small talk, getting to know people, and sometimes even getting job opportunities.

I don't condone it - but when I used to smoke, I got an interview from a woman who I used to be friendly with while we had our morning coffee and cigarette.

Times are tough and sometimes you need to move sideways or backwards to get ahead. Sending good vibes and good luck - you got this!!

Thirteen months is incredibly tough and I am sorry you are going through that. It might help to review your CV with fresh eyes or connect with recruiters who specialise in HR roles.

We are looking to hire a FTE for systems integration. We are using Mulesoft as an IPAAS. I’m part of the hiring team. The pay is 6 figures it is fully remote, the benefits are insanely good and it can be your second job if you are very good. If you are great, it’s probably 15-20 hours of work per weeks. If you are good enough, I will even cover for you to coordinate with your primary job. DM me if you are interested as I’m tired of the crappy recruiting company we are contracted with.
