Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

There isn’t a reward for doing things the hard way. The work is good, people are happy, just keep doing it.
Everyone else is using it too. Soon, the timelines will be shortened and expectations will increase. (Already seeing it)
I have been seeing it as well. I think it will get worse in the new year honestly. Timelines will be shortened even more.
AI augmentation has become more commonplace and I assume you're well within the guidelines of your organization if your manager is happy. It has become common that people feel reduced, there were stories a few months back about tech people at Amazon saying they're now being treated like the warehouse workers. If you're getting to the point where you feel diminished by using AI you may want to move on to doing something else. Of course, in this job market that's not so simple.
That’s the whole point imo, to make life easier and gain you time to focus on more important things in life. Work/career is just a medium, but most of us treat it as it’s the end all.
You people really are emotionally invested in your shovels when the back hoe manual is just over there. Pick it up. Read the manual. Dig at a 100 times your current pace.
Or not.
Each pebble is just as important as the next. Only, in the avalanche, it's difficult distinguish which are good and which are not.
Trusting the tool to decide is a slippery slope we are all trying to stay firmly planted on.
It’s a balance, I definitely feel lazier, but I try to understand what the AI is doing so I don’t need to go to it for the same problem again

I embrace my engineers using it. More time for them to make sure they’re building a quality product
You are getting worse and you don't realize it yet. Lately, I mostly use AI for optimizing or refinement only. Like a second set of eyes for the code. I also use static analysis plugins and CLI helpers (Knip, etc).
Absolutely not. Make sure you know what you are submitting and why it is implemented the way it is implemented and you’ll be okay. Just don’t submit code blindly
What are you working on? My tasks are generally far too complicated for AI to not make a mess of things.
Simplify, add abstractions. Build the code as if you had junior assistants.
