Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I’ve been told, ask for a little more than what you want. That way, if they negotiate and go lower, it’ll be close to what you want. But pay depends on your location too. Search how much your position averages with your years of experience.
Come to the negotiations with market data. Do a little research on Glassdoor or other salary bench sites and see if you can find your role and applicable salaries. This way when you negotiate you have market data to back your request. This will also give you insight in what is expected within that role and salary range. Always ask for that bit more (also check what benefits they give) to negotiate.
