I’ve just left college and would like a job in accounting, I’m not really picky at the moment and I can’t seem to find any jobs. What would you recommend I should do?

The market is pretty bad at the moment. See if you can find an internship to get through the door.

Some companies hire recent graduates. Try looking up top 100 accounting firms and check their website. I would also suggest networking through linkedin. Reach out to senior associates and managers and see if someone can refer you for an internship. Interns at public accounting are trained anyways so as long as you know basics of accounting and excel the rest can be taught at work

Look everywhere even Craigslist, that’s how I got my start. And as you work it will get easier especially if you are working on the cpa.

See what your university career office can do (e.g. are there events you can attend? Job postings on an internal site you can still apply for?). Reach out to your former classmates and ask for referrals to openings you see at their company. Update your LinkedIn and mark that you're open to opportunities.

Hello Fishes,

So far I received offers from PwC India, Capgemini and Lexmark for Data Engineering.

More are in pipeline from KPMG GS, TechM, Accenture.

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐

Is it sign of an Imposter Syndrome 🥺

Pls help🙏🏾

I need career advice. I have been an office admin for 7 years and want to pivot into project management. I have experience leading small projects. But I have limited experience handling complex projects involving many people. My long-term plan is to complete a PM cert program and hopefully find an entry-level position. However, my immediate need is to find a new job, ideally, one that would offer the opportunity to gain more project experience. Any suggestions?
