I feel like so much of my job is planning and scheduling that I have 0% left to plan and schedule my personal life. Is that normal? Do I need a Microsoft to do list for normal life 😣

I have a to do list for my personal life 🤷🏻‍♂️

like

I’ve had a to-do list for my personal life since college, how else do people remember anything?

like

I don't remember, my fiance does 😂

I have a to do list for work and sprinkle any person stuff in that day’s paticular listing for things that have strict deadlines or things that need to be done. Any “fun stuff” is weekends or vacation.

like

I schedule time on my calendar every day to take care of my personal stuff or just an hour of well being

like

Same :/

I put reminders in my calendar for personal things as well. When I schedule personal appointments, they go in my work calendar too so that everything is in one spot. Otherwise, I have no idea what’s going on! :)

Set boundaries...Work to Live, Don't Live to Work...no one sits on their death bed and says, "I wish i could have finished that report"

HELP! 30+ years of teaching Sped and I’m at a loss. 6th grade student in Middle School with Doose syndrome. Prior to MS, the elementary said he never caused problems. Since the 1st day, he is disruptive in class, refuses to work, and is disrespectful. He has a one-on-one para but she is in tears most days because of his behavior. Parents agreed with a behavior plan - he thinks it’s a game. Parents say he is not allowed to be this way at home.

This is not about dating, but about family relationships. I live far from my family and provably only see them once a year. They have been visiting for the past month and to go from not seeing them to seeing them so often has been an adjustment. I love them, but get so impatient with them and then I feel so guilty. Anyone else have this complicated dynamic with family?

My fiancé will NOT stop talking about her ex. After I found out they were texting arguing she justified it by saying it was about the dogs and not them. Even though Her social media is full of his pics. She still sends him $50 a month for dog food, still goes to work right by his place and suspiciously needs keys. I try to bring it up and I get dismantled for being too mean and making “false accusations.” How much more obvious can it be?

I was okay and then randomly saw photos of my ex that i didnt know existed in my message history to my friend (i deleted everything related to him the day we broke up) and it has brought back all the memories and pain. It has already been over two months. I hope this can go away.

I was reading a post in another group that asked how folks were celebrating Diwali outside of India and 2 people mentioned that their whole street (in the US) exchanged sweets, put up lights, and pitched in for a community firecrackers permit. This had me wondering if this happened in the US for Eid as well in cites where there is a big Muslim population. Also, how do you all celebrate Eid? For folks who are grew up in the west, is there anything you plan on doing differently with your kids?
