Yes go somewhere where you're respected. Life is too short to suffer in a job that you're miserable in. Look at it this way - wherever you go, it will be better than your current situation so there is no other way but up. Don't be comfortable in your discomfort. You deserve better

PwC1 is likely a partner/lifer and doesn’t get it 😂😂 . Do you OP and D1.
This is hard.. I was getting dragged by my former teams/RL, was put on a PIP last year, and now for this years CRT I am up for early promo to manager because I finally found people to support me. It’s a difficult decision to make as you can’t see the future, but know that it’s not always a definite career wonder if you decide to stay. It is pretty difficult to win people over once they’ve made their minds up about you, but if you want to stay and can find different teams it’s worth a shot.
Sorry, what is PIPed? I’ve been reading these and don’t know that one
Come to Plante! Seriously I was never told I was a high performer at KPMG although i was always the best in my class and excelled in my work. As soon as I left, I was immediately given feedback that I was the highest performing one on my team. It’s crazy what a change of perspective could do for you. To this day I’m still convinced people didn’t outright tell me I was a high performer (even tho they kept giving me work and essentially I was a senior performing manager duties) because they didn’t want to pay me what I was worth. If you’re interested in Plante, let me know!

I’m sort of in a similar spot myself, I’m a new hire, but my firm just isn’t giving me enough work and my billable hours are really low. I am on the fence as whether to start looking for a new job now.
You should start looking. They will turn it around and say your not being proactive in seeking work and start to do things behind the scene to get you out. Unfortunately these firms care more about whether you are liked then the quality of your work to be the basis as to give you work
I agree with D1. (Former PwC)
I was in the same situation & decided to do a year long Tour of Duty/rotation in another group, that ideally is going to lead to a full time position there after. Still at PwC, didn’t have to tell my group until after I got it, & feel WAY more supported in my current group. Most groups are short-staffed, so I’d think there are a lot of opportunities for it.
I applied for it myself! When you apply, it’ll ask if your team knows so they don’t share it until you’re ready to. I knew it wouldn’t have been received well without an offer in hand, so I waited until I had already interviewed & gotten a verbal offer before I spoke to my RL about it. Once my start date was finalized, I told my partners (who already knew from my RL) and the rest of my group. No bad feelings in my old group and I’m guaranteed my spot back at the end of the year, if I decide I want to go back. Highly recommend it - I’m in serious culture shock at how much healthier I feel mentally already.
I’m sorry to hear that. I was in kind of a similar situation actually and talked to my partner and got everything sorted out. But without a good partner, that’s a tough spot to be in. If you want to come to KPMG hit me up and I’ll refer. Good luck though either way, I know that’s a stressful situation
Come to BDO :) DM me if you’re interested
I did this. The workload still isn’t easy but the people at BDO are better than people at PwC from my experience.
