I've not always been agency-side of advertising. Most of my 15+ year career has been client-side. I've noticed now that I'm agency-side, people within agencies are a lot less likely to follow through on something unless they had the idea themselves, particularly senior leaders. Has anyone else noticed this? I feel like it's learned behavior of taking an idea from a client, polishing it and giving it back as their own. Basically put their own stamp on it before they'll agree with it.

I have never experienced this. Maybe it's the agency you're at? Also, I don't agree with the premise that agency people just execute client ideas. We have many clients come to us with a budget and an end goal and we help them build the steps to get it done.

It very well could be the people at my agency in particular. With that said, I'm not saying that agencies only execute ideas from clients. For sure agencies are responsible for idea generation more so than clients are. No doubt. But, I do think that when clients bring good ideas to the table there is tendency for agency individuals to take that idea and want to put their own spin on it, as opposed to just acknowledging it as a good idea in it's own right.

Lets us discuss why Indian companies expects/forces/ us to work more than 9 hours but in timesheet we have to fill 8.
Managers schedule meeting after office hours and expects us to be available always.

Sorry to say this but I have seen only Indians who work extra hours. What's even funny is that the upper management laugh at foreigners who work exactly 8hours.

Should we not change our mentality?
What should we do to not follow this anymore?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

I work in a public school setting and am allergic to citrus. My district has stated that it is too much trouble to accommodate me. I carry an Epipen and have an anaphylaxis reaction to being exposed to citrus. My district is not accepting my doctor note. They think I am exaggerating and refuse to limit citrus fruits on my campus. An HR meeting concluded that I was required to work through it/use the emergency response team if I have “an issue”. Can someone explain how billable hours work? At a new agency and although I had to fill timesheets at my previous agencies, they were mainly used to ensure we weren’t over servicing a client/for setting the appropriate retainer for contract renewals. I get the impression that billing to the agency admin code isn’t recommended, and my manager said he bills everything to client codes, but that doesn’t make sense to me .
