I’ve received an offer from Eli Lilly for a Data Engineer – Operations role under Tech@Lilly.
During the interview, they mentioned that final alignment (Development vs Operations) would be decided closer to joining.
Since my experience is mainly in data engineering development, is it okay to ask HR before joining to align me to the development track? If yes, what’s the best way to approach or ask for it? Has anyone successfully done this at Lilly?

I’ve been working in public accounting (audit) for a year and I don’t enjoy the work and don’t see myself in this position for much longer. I’ve been thinking about going into marketing but stuck on how to get started. I know I have no prior experience, but since I’m early in my career and with taking some courses/certifications (Google analytics, SEO, etc.) to boost my resume, I’m hoping to make the switch. Any advice on where to start, what type of marketing positions I would align with, etc?

I know this has been asked before but I can’t find the thread. How much do firms care about GPA as an experienced hire? I had a really shitty GPA in college.. will that affect my offer?

I started trading during Covid crash. Started with equities and eventually moved to options. Earlier lost a month's salary and then lot more trying to recover it. Currently have lost my yearly salary worth and it's affecting all aspects of my life (job, marriage, health). I have tried to convince myself to consider it a loss but always get back trying to recover it.

Asking for an increase this June to take me to $100,000 in some combination of salary and/or stock options. 1) EXL services:- Role( Business analyst Band A2)
6.5 ctc + 1lakh first anniversary bonus.

2) Fractal analytics:- Role(Imagineer :- on trainingit would depend on what technology you'll work in data science) 7.5 ctc + 3 lakh joining bonus.
