I’ve sent out 50 applications for Remote roles and I’m starting to think my resume is being auto-filtered because I don't live in a Tier 1 city. I have a CPA and experience at a top-10 firm, but I’m getting zero bites for roles that I am objectively overqualified for. Is the remote market so saturated now that you basically need a personal referral just to get a phone screen? What are you guys doing to stand out?

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)
