I've worked with a few different healthcare administrations and they all had so many issues with leadership, employee support, etc. Is it just the system that is failing? Are we all too overworked and understaffed?

My experience so far, it's lacking in quality leadership, combined with increased pressure on staff, overworked, overwhelmed, and not supported. Empty promises of added support, it's a giant snowball effect of problems.

Probably a good 85 - 90% of problems in healthcare stem from greed of the individuals in the system. Costs in the U.S. are higher than anywhere else and quality is not scoring as high. Everyone points the finger...if pharmacy can make those profits than we should in equipment. If doctors and nurses command exorbitant salaries then administration should make that much too... A monster has been created that we cannot move back from. Implosion is imminent.

This is an issue every where and sadly, I think it will always exist. Healthcare in the US particularly just doesn't get the same support and funding but I also know it's not perfect either around the rest of the world.

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My position puts me in a place where I need to interact with my new coworkers but they are not as welcoming as I expected. There is also another surgical coordinator however I have come to find from other staff that there is a long history of her running other staff away and not fully training other surgical coordinator staff properly. Any suggestions?

Working in a large health system as a quality professional WFH. I rarely see anyone else on my team, and when I do present findings I see no changes happening. Maybe they’re happening and I just don’t have a role in that oversight but the motivation to keep going is whittling down to nothing. I’ve been in healthcare for years but graduated with a masters in last two years and was hoping for something different. I have been applying to so many jobs and not many calls back. Any advice ?

I have an MHA and 4 years of management experience. I’m currently a manager, but seeking a director level position. Any advice for trying to temper my expectations? I feel like all director level positions have 5 years in the posting, but a lot of my peers with the same experience are already in director level positions. Are they just lucky? Am I jumping the gun? Do I just need to stick it out?
