Job market is tough right now, networking seems to be the only way I’m getting interview calls. I have 5 years of tech consulting experience with a MS in Data Science / Statistics. The job offers or company recruiters reaching out only have packages of 90 - 100k max now in NYC and I used to get 130k plus benefits so total of 150k. Is this normal now at consulting or tech firms? I feel like the salary at companies does not match experience / skill level… anyone else have this experience?

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent.
