Joined a company 10 months ago, soon learned they lay off during lean season post-July. Stayed hopeful, did well—got 4/5 rating, hike, and “Manager of the Quarter.” Now, hearing I might be let go mid-August. A senior hinted quietly. Interviews are lined up, but I fear losing leverage if I’m out of a job. Thinking of taking leave to job hunt discreetly. What reason can I give for leave without raising suspicion? Suggestions welcome.
