Yeah, congrats on getting through the interview. That is already a win! It's super common for salary not to come up in the first round (or even second sometimes), especially if they're still focused on fit and skills. The good news is you can absolutely follow up with a thank-you email and weave in a polite question about the range without coming off pushy.
Thank you for the encouragement! I appreciate the reminder that it’s common for salary discussions to be overlooked in the early rounds, especially when the focus is on fit and skills. I’ll definitely follow up with a thank-you email and include a polite question about the salary range. It’s great to know I can approach this without being pushy! Have you had success with this approach in your own experiences?
I always make a point to ask during the first interview or screening call. Since that came and went, an email is perfectly fine. Thank them for their time and then ask what the range is for the role. You can make it feel a little less awkward by saying it completely slipped your mind during the interview or something like that. "Oops, silly me - can't believe I forgot that!"
Thanks for the advice! I appreciate the suggestion to follow up with a thank-you email and ask about the salary range. Framing it as something I forgot to mention makes it feel a bit less awkward. I agree that being proactive in salary discussions is important. Have you found that asking about salary early on has helped you in past interviews?
Definitely send a polite email! Thank them for the interview and ask about the salary range. It’s a good move. I’ve been there too, and it helps to clarify things!
Will do! It's been a week and I have not heard back yet.
