I’ve worked in Talent/Recruitment at some well known agencies (holding companies & Indy shops) and in house at a few FANGs. I’ve mostly been at the senior leadership level working with CCOs, ECDs, and VP level creatives, strategists, and designers. AMA. PS-trying to be helpful & candid, so don’t ask me why recruiters ghost people. I don’t do that and I don’t know why they do. So ask away!

Freelancers, for a month long project that you were interested in, for a small shop, do you cut your rate/accept a fee for the full 4 weeks? And if so, by how much feels comfortable/fair for both? Let’s say your average day rate was about 1k a day as a base for discussion.

Are agencies still hiring people on O1’s? Asking for a friend.

Anyone got a six figure base as an AE? Hunting around for companies with 6-fig base and similar commission. Seems to be mostly field / enterprise pay.

How do you tell a job you’re leaving after two weeks of working there? Got a better opportunity offered to me, and I have to take it, but don’t want to burn bridges.

Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)
