Call and ask for a retention offer. If the benefits you're getting from the card don't out weigh the annual fee, I'd recommend downgrading to the Freedom Flex.
That is the annual fee. They credit you back $300 for travel related purchases automatically.
I understand, I was unclear in my post. I know it’s my annual fee, I’m just now reevaluating it after 2 years. I don’t travel much anymore
In the same boat. Called and asked for a retention offer, all they said was, “We don’t have retention offers because we added more card benefits in August”. Is this card worth $250 without Doordash and peloton credits? You’d have to travel and eat out thru Tock a ton to get this amount back in chase points (doable if you have no other cards you’re trying to maximize).
Yeah, retention is case by case. I got $150 statement credit. Worth it to keep a other year
I downgraded from the Reserve to the Preferred, primarily because of the Primary insurance for rental cars.
If you have a centurion lounge in your airport/destinations the Amex plat is a pretty good competitor, otherwise if you aren’t using priority pass restaurants or the other benefits just downgrade.
A: not sure- I cancelled the card when I stopped flying so much during covid (and my corporate leisure code includes full insurance anyways for rentals).
I had both for a few years when flying weekly- was worth it on my case (employer paid for one as well).
