Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

The salary is on point. However, I would think twice before joining. If you’re unemployed or in a bad work environment, then I would consider it. Otherwise, I would advise against it .
Care to share why @G1
I will say while Guidehouse certainly has its quirks and issues to iron out being so new, I'm part of the SLG team and absolutely feel that we are one of the bright spots across the entire firm. DM me if you'd like to chat a bit more.
Hate to piggy back on this, but I’m also curious 🥺
Depends on the team you’re joining. Some are great.
Go for it. State and local has much more interesting work. The company is fine. People like to complain but we’re not that different from our competitors.
The culture at GH that I've experienced is welcoming, supportive, and everything I was searching for in a consulting firm. Despite what many FB posts say, this is a great place to work!

Yeah good got you, I hate my health insurance
I got a very similar offer with the same YOE in their public health sector and have to say I’m very happy with the work, leadership, and support I get from my team. A night and day difference from my first job with a Fortune 500
I work in operations so can’t speak for anyone. I love working here. SLG is a sector I always hear good things about. Additionally, always hear about them winning new work. Seems like a solid group to join.

76k is solid based on the info you provided. Now the question is if you want to do that kind of work?
State and Local Gov?
The State and Local Group is one of the better groups in the practices. The partners are good. The people I’ve worked with on those teams are good. They travel a lot and that might be a burden if that isn’t your thing.
