Slightly different opinion ... Think about what is important for you. everyone talks about brand dilution etc. but what exactly is the brand doing for you ? is your bank balance going up ? work life balance is getting better ? you love your work ? your wife ( assuming you are married ) is proud you are MBB ? friends treat you on a pedestal ?
in the end - it’s what it matters to you. we left india ( making another assumption here ) for a better life here. better life definition is different for everyone. do your research make a call. “don’t do it” for someone might be this is an “ best decision so far” for another.
See if this level offers you base comp + bonus + RSUs. if you qualify for RSUs only at higher level , see if you can go at that level.
Best response so far, thanks for taking the time to write this

It is like living in Edison NJ (Cognizant) vs living in Malibu (MBB)

Update:
They lowballed me in the offer, I said “would love to discuss it further with hiring manager (to negotiate)” and in response, they ghosted me LOL
Damn. I am not surprised!
Lol I am hearing this term WITCH consultancies, took me a while to figure but had me in splits 😂
Welcome to reality
Comp is good for a reason - Cognizant has serious attrition / poor retention issues and they have to make up for that. I’d be somewhat wary of any job posting advertising “ex-MBB” so strongly. Expect a strong offshore culture (meetings early morning and late night). Because of that, expect a lot of things to be decentralized. Might be hard to get anything done if you have to do any PMO.
A quick search on LinkedIn: team looks bloated with quite a few senior managers/associate directors and not many associates

Don't
They're glorified body shops. Do you want to join one? No matter at what level
Interesting. How much are they paying you. I still think it is a huge step down in brand. The ex MBB must have gotten boatloads to come work for cognizant.
OP - was this the offer you received? 250K at AD level?
AD is Associate Director. Guessing it’s like 7-10 YOE?
Function of what’s more important to you at this stage of your life.. decides your go or no-go
Corp strat should be a fairly high visibility group. Probably worth the attention if the pay is good. I wouldn’t expect crazy hrs but that’s something you might have gotten a sense of during your interview.

Depends on where you are in your career. If you are jobless, take it. If you have a job that you are able to tolerate for now then don’t
Wait. The C in WITCH was Capgemini, not Cognizant!
What are the witch consulting companies?
