What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I clerked right out of law school and am now joining a boutique firm with the hopes of gaining experience quickly. There’s no excuse that by the age of 25 you have never tried therapy. I’m speaking directly to the demographic in this group who I’m sure over 95% of people in here are earning 6 figures. Fishes, I have a job title question. Does it matter if a role is in the same project with different titles? Example: SA, State and Local, Researcher vs SA, State and Local, Business Analyst. The job description makes it sound like they are the same project. However, Business Analyst does have more requirements/qualifications listed than Researcher. I’m coming from industry (3 YOE). Have an offer from a dream company but I'll need to go in at a lower level. Knowing that I can bring a lot of value to the company (read- I know my worth), I negotiated with the hiring manager to have a level/comp review 6 months after employment. If I hit all my goals (ie, prove myself) within that time frame, I'll get a promotion and salary adjustment.
QUESTIONS:
Should this be in writing in the offer letter?
How detailed should it be? I assume I won't know what goals to set till I start...

I had two recruiters today reschedule a meeting. And this is the second time rescheduling. Honesty, not sure what value recruiters bring. Is this common now? Is it hard to have respect for people’s time and their schedule? Reschedule once I can understand. But twice is just stupidity. I hope AI wipes out all bad recruiters who don’t give af. Sorry for the vent. Maybe it’s just my bad luck then.

Do recruiters actually look at your education and early work life when you've reached a certain level of experience in the industry?

I got an email from an agency recruiter who wanted to set up time with me “sooner rather than later,” asking for my availability over the next 3 days, which I provided. She then ghosted.
