Makers Mark is probably the best Distillery I have ever toured.
Would have to agree with you, I’ve done the bourbon trail twice and Maker’s stole the show each time
Woodford tour is awesome
Don't overlook Bardstown Bourbon Company. Beautiful campus, interesting product line, and great tour options.
Castle & Key, Heaven Hill, and Four Roses are also great options.
I second Bardstown Bourbon Co. It was a much better tour than Buffalo Trace in my opinion
Make sure you book your tour/ tastings in advance because they do sell out. I went to the Stitzel-Weller Distillery a couple weeks ago and they definitely dropped some interesting knowledge on me. It was a cool experience.
Makers is a great tour. Lot of history. Bardstown is really nice since it’s new and has good food. Willet has an awesome bar.
Three Boys Farm (aka Whiskey Thief). Most unique and memorable stop. And now I know what it’s like to do a barrel pick.
One of my fav experiences on the trail
Fan of Sugarfield bourbon. Their distillery in Louisiana is near the top of my list since it's not too far from me.
Jim Beam in Kentucky. And Kings County Distillery in New York. Ideally I'd get to tour some abroad someday too.
Makers for sure.. great history. We didn’t do our own dipped bottle (too gimmicky) but wished we’d done it after the fact! Also check out Willett (eat here too!) wild Turkey, Wilderness Trail, Buffalo Trace. I liked Woodford too.. the best tasting of all!
Castle and Key has an awesome campus. Makers because you can dip the bottle. Buffalo Trace is pretty good tour. They’re doing a lot of building the next several years so it’s pretty neat to see their expansion.
Woodford has a beautiful distillery
