I'm in the final round of interviews for two internal positions - both vertical. One has FTE's (my first such experience) and the other a much broader scope vs my current role

I had interviewed externally for a role on par w the internal roles, at a smaller and less established company. They confirmed +20% was in their range

How do I push back on my company if they offer less than that, if I do want one of those roles? Without a pay scale, what is the best way to approach?

My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

One of my direct reports has asked about going part time. They currently manage special reports in a bi-weekly publication, working closely with sales, freelance writers, and an internal designer. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. I have a whole bunch of certifications in my industry…but just no formal degree. (cont'd)

Applying for an Associate role at McK Ops practice after being actively sourced by multiple recruiters. I was excited about it at first, but struggling to find bandwidth for case practicing. I’ve pushed interviews to a later time already to accommodate for my schedule, but now I’m even busier than before. This may be a dumb question, but is there any business role/function where you’re not sitting in front of a computer all day? Before entering the corporate world I was in the restaurant industry for many years and was on a computer maybe 10% of the time. I’ve been in consulting for four years but still can’t stand sitting behind a computer and building PPTs all day - is corporate America just not for me?
