Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Rising Star
I believe it’s similar to how it is at other firms.
Variable pay for MD’s is fairly high (20-40%+ or more bonus)
Base pay tends to be pretty wide depending on the service line, I’m sure there are many in 300+ base and well over 400 TC, but I imagine the majority are around 300-400 all in (base+bonus)
I believe you are pretty much wrong on all points. Talk to one of your partners or practice leaders and they should be willing to give you more accurate data points.
OP - 3rd year MD in a tier 2 city. Base is 380 and bonus has been ~10%
It’s not, but someone out there is going to be on a disadvantaged part of the spectrum for what could be perfectly legitimate reasons and be disappointed, feel like their being underpaid, whatever.
My point is that it’s dangerous to throw numbers around without context. They are often followed by “I know someone who...”
The meat of the bell curve would be most informative. Partners see theirs. I’ve never seen it for below. I know network and service line leaders do, but obviously not widely published.
I am in a high-paying practice. All in MD Comp starts around 300, goes to about 400 for partner track, exceeds 400 for more experienced non-partner track. From what I’ve been told, at least
Don’t go there it’s a sinking ship I just got out
