Ladies, do you have friends who don't understand the kind of work you're in, how busy it makes you, etc and are always criticising you for not being available for their outings? I was also the first of the lot to get married and have kids, so a lot of them wouldn't even understand what it's like to be truly caught up with not just your own but a lot of other lives. Do you have such friends? I don't want to cut them off because they're literally the only ones I have, but I also find it so exhausting.

I'm in a similar situation to the OP. My way of handling it is having quarterly parties at my house where I invite all my friends. More time efficient. Doesn't work for everyone and I have not seen 2 good friends in years, but if they can't meet me halfway I try not to let it bother me too much. I'll just do the occasional phone call.

I do. I just try to be unbothered by their comments and just show up when I can and make them understand when they can. It's not easy to get everyone to understand where you're coming from, so it's easier to quit trying.

I'm not married or dating anyone rn, but even I know how busy it can get when you have kids. None of my friends are married yet... some will be engaged soon though. None have kids.

I would never be offended if my friends priorize their family instead of me. This is just from observing and seeing how my colleagues who have kids live...

So if your friends are upset, they need to grow up a bit.

I am currently undergoing a recruitment exercise for the role of Senior Principal, Research with the Peers & Practitioners team at Gartner India Research & Advisory Services. My current work exp is 5 years across 2 big 4s and a KPO in India. How much hike should I quote if I clear the interviews here? Presently my CTC is around early INR1000Kp.a. Also are they giving options of a permanent WFH post covid? If not can I work from some other office such as HYD, BLR instead of NCR?

Hi Everyone, Urgent Help!! 2.2 YOE Java Developer having 7.9 LPA Larsen & Toubro Infotech

Cognizant offered 'PA' role with 10.8 LPA.

Now 5 days left in my NP and a startup has offered 13+1 LPA.

I tried to counter CTS (looking stability factor) they are saying "we have already offered you max CTC so not able to match up your expectation."

What should I do now? Ask to upgrade to 'Associate' role having 2.2 YOE or negotiate my CTC with them?
