I’d consult your employee manual. It doesn’t seem offensive but different companies have different policies.
Oh it's the guy with a mule fetish again 🫠
It’s better than open toed anything. Ladies, no one at the office should know what color you painted your toe nails. SMH
No. Being able yo see someone’s bare heel or bottom of foot (when you walk or sit) is ick at the office.
Those are fine….just make sure they are comfortable to walk in
No.
I wear open-back, slide-on black patent leather loafers from DKNY. Never had an issue with them, just make sure my socks match my outfit
Mules are totally fine esp in the summer
Depends how formal your work is but in general I would err on the side of conservatism and no. I don’t wear open toe or open back shoes at work. Generally pointed toe pumps for mild weather or pointed toe booties for colder weather. If a bit more casual, I will do loafers or ballet flats.
It depends on your office vibe and your status. In my office, pointed-toe mules would be out of place. “Professional” or “stylish” wouldn’t matter, it would look like the wearer doesn’t belong here.
But I’m in Hawaii and our vibe is more laid-back than many mainland offices.
Also, if you’re a boss then just wear them and you can be the one to set or influence the office vibe.
I wear closed toe slingbacks when it's warm but not a fan of mules...too awkward to walk around in if you need to keep up with the boys.
I’ve seen a coworker pull it off in the summer. Rest of the outfit has to smart casual, can’t be too formal
