You’re in the “Jobs in Accounting” Bowl…how about you just post your dilemma?
Are you sure risk consultant does not mean IT audit? Usually risk consultant is a made up name for IT audit to make it sound cooler!
Ok. So I have two offers one for Senior IT auditor and the other is Senior Risk consultant. IT auditor offer is better than the consultant role but I feel like the consultant role would be better and have better future opportunities.
The consultant role offer is 10k less but better commute and future prospects
Senior IT audit role pays more and the industry I want to be in, but commute and IT audit not best for long term
Yeah I mean the “consulting” role probably will be IT audit more and more SOX focused. The other one is is more IT focused projects and initiatives but not SOX. Either are both probably not what I want to do long long term but pays best atm and I have the offers
Would you pick less pay for less commute and consultant title or should I suck it up in this economy, take higher pay in an industry I like and for sure know I’m doing IT audit work.
