Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

Same. It feels frivolous and pointless. I want to do something that betters the world. But I also want to make enough money to survive and thrive…
Now imagine being an accountant for Phillip Morris, Shell Oil or Truth Social - or basically anyone that works in these places. Could be waaaay worse...
Have felt the same for so long. I think my feelings are due to the amount of work and feeling so under appreciated. Been looking to do something different for awhile
Job’s a job. Used to be here for the creativity, now I clock in 9-5 for the paycheck. I’m much happier
Following - I feel the same
It's a combination of things and I've long wondered which has the biggest impact:
1) Making big productions / culturally relevant work has become more of an exception than the norm. Without that, many of us lose the reason we got into the industry. Many of us made the choice to 'sell out' working for corporations in order to be able to work creatively, but when you remove most of the creativity, all you're left with is the corporation. And that's an unpleasant cognitive dissonance to deal with.
2) Working conditions, especially post-Covid, have lowered morale significantly. We've culturally began to value work-life balance a lot more. But we have less and less control of our time and aren't compensated well enough for long hours. And the hours we do spend working, we no longer are as close with our co-workers and have no solidarity.
3) Our industry is consolidating like never before in a race to the bottom that has caused unprecedented instability. In the past, layoffs were still common, but at least you knew they were cyclical. Now, our future employment prospects are legitimately uncertain because of a doom loop of ai and corporate consolidation.
Personally, if I could have just one of those three back (fulfillment, working conditions, stability), I would feel a lot less doom and gloom.
i feel this on a molecular level
