As a super privileged white dude, even I recognize how disgusting it is. And it’s not even just the white washing. Whenever we suggested an all black (or Indian or Asian) cast the clients suggestion would be to make the cast interracial, so “more people could relate”. Never once came up with an all white cast. Also, I might punch the next client that says “but are they too black”?

I’ve had a major retail client said we were “going out of our way” to be diverse upon our first round of casting options. The person who said this was, of course, a white male. 😞

What has your experience been with new job offers and counter offers from current employers? In my opinion, if I’m looking to leave it is because I’m unhappy and excited about the new role I’ve been offered. I’ve never been interested in a counter offer and it seems like it would ruin relationships with both employers. Interested to hear others opinions!

I accepted a 95k systems engineer role in VA with KBR and is currently going thru a clearance.(MAY START DATE)
Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. They also want to give me a clearance but it will start as an interim so I can work sooner than may. MY DILEMMA: Kbr states that they know I need money now so I can accept an offer with Northrop to see if I like it until may.BUT can I have 2 security clearances running at the same time?

Need suggestions: So I joined this bank and I was loaned to a different director in my team due to some long term leave for one of his SMs and audit with my director was deferred. The idea was that I would be involved in Fieldwork and take over reporting part. Issue is that I just despise the way this other Director is working. He would assign a task, and then start following up the very next day. And then after I send the document, he won’t even read that for a day!! Contd in comments
